When methods other than 1 are used for removal, often traces and rings of the stain persists, even after repeated cleanings. These usually can be removed by first allowing the area to dry and then proceeding with method 1.

When the spot or stain still persists after repeated cleaning attempts with the suggested method or removal, the help of a professional carpet cleaner is recommended.
